Originally from Kingsgate, Broadstairs, Adrian lives in sunny Margate with his wife of 24 years and young family. Adrian is an all round, self-confessed fitness fanatic and is a keen: runner, cyclist and swimmer (individually), triathlete, kitesurfer, climber and Pilates practitioner.
Adrian has worked in the field of sports and remedial therapy and fitness for over 20 years. He started out in the mid-90s as a fitness instructor & personal trainer helping people improve their health and achieve their fitness goals.
Along with his personal training practice, Adrian qualified as a Sport and Holistic Massage Therapist in 1998 and increased his qualified status to Clinical Soft Tissue Therapist in under the expert tutelage of Mel Cash, a world renowned leader in the field in London. Adrian is qualified to level five in Clinical Sports and Remedial Massage and has worked in the public and private sector as both a therapist and fitness instructor & personal trainer.
Adrian is a qualified teacher and was a lecturer in post compulsory education, delivering the CYQ syllabus in Fitness Instruction and Personal Training and the BTec Sport syllabus to the next generation of sport and fitness professionals.
He is qualified to advanced level in Kinesio Taping and is qualified to advanced level in sports injury taping. He has extensive experience of using the discipline in sporting and clinical settings including pre and post operative and those with moderate to severe disability.
Adrian studied Pilates with the Australian Physiotherapy and Pilates Institute (APPI) in London. He holds Matwork Pilates Levels One to Three and a variety of APPI CPD qualifications in a number of specialist areas including Pilates for Runners and Pilates for Cyclists.
He is also qualified in running biomechanical analysis and coaching to help experienced and new runners improve their times, endurance, efficiency and avoid injury. Adrian has also commenced his Running Technique Specialist qualifications which will not only enable him to offer a greater service to runners but also those whose mobility has been affected by stroke, chronic conditions or surgery.
Adrian works with people from a variety of backgrounds: elite and casual sports people, those wanting to improve their general fitness, the elderly, people with disabilities, those injured in the workplace and people with chronic and acute medical issues who want to improve mobility and quality of life. Adrian loves his work and is passionate about helping people overcome injury, improve their confidence, fitness and mobility or enjoy greater success in their chosen sport.
Adrian is a Member of the Institute of Sport and Remedial Massage (ISRM) and Australian Pilates and Physiotherapy Institute (APPI) to give you the security and assurance that treatment and tuition delivered is at the high standards that these organisations demand. As part of his professional memberships Adrian is required to undertake a prescribed amount of continuing professional development (CPD), Adrian only selects the best establishments to ensure his practice uses the most up-to-date techniques informed by the latest clinical research and industry best practice.
